PARTICIPANTS

The target groups and participants of the festival are the children, young people and adults. The festival involvs inhabitants of Lodz, Lodz region and guests from various regions of Poland, Europe and the world. The participants of the festival are :

  • Children and young people participating in the festival’s educational activities – craft workshops, intercultural educational workshops, performances, artistic presentations of different cultures and exhibitions
  • Vocalists, dancers, instrumental artists (contestants od the GOLDEN BOAT festival contest and artistic presentations on the festival stages)
  • Visual artists and photographers – children and young people, including students (participants of artistic, photographic and design competitions)
  • Invited entertainers – singers and musicians of rock pop and folk bands
  • Festival audience – the audience of competitions and concerts at various festival stages and of street activities
  • Volunteers – junior high school and high school youth, students and adults
  • Specialists of Julian Tuwim Youth Centre and CONVIVO Foundation for the Promotion and Support of Creativity

Since 2011, the three editions of FOLK INSPIRATIONS have been attended by young artists from 12 countries of Europe and the world – Belarus, Czech Republic, Georgia, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Palestine, Russia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Tunisia and Ukraine, and five Polish regions. In the 4th edition we plan to host 250 young foreign artists from 15 countries of Europe and the world and we expect about 3,000 participants in total.
