The academic society DESIGNER from the Technical University of Lodz began regular cooperation with the Youth Centre in Lodz during the 3rd edition of the Festival in 2013. This resulted in creating the exhibition “Folk Design” including fashion collection, educational mats and projects inspired by international folklore.
This year the group will also showcase designs inspired by folklore, however, it will be only be a remote inspiration for creating designer and refreshed versions of old furniture or entirely new designs. The idea is to create a “Folk Flat” gradually filled with the students’ works during the exhibition. Members of the club are working in groups, yet their designs will make a whole, due to the similarity of solutions such as materials, colors, textures and ornaments.
